![]() Here's another starting at $30, under the EZ2000 name (lots come up under this name - looks like these ones even do OBDII with an upgrade kit):īe careful with the wording - often it will make it sound like the scanner can do this or that, but it will require an upgrade to do it. (states US shipping only, but most guys will ship USPS to Canada if you ask) Here's an XP240, but it's not as cheap as some of the ones I've seen - it does come with all the cables and a case though which is nice: The only real difference was more advanced software it came with, and the ability to read "enhanced" OBDII codes IIRC. I would have got the 6000 model, but none of the ebay vendors that sold it would ship to Canada, and it was quite a bit more money (~$100 extra IIRC), which was the same cost of the download upgrade if I wanted to later, so I opted for the 5000 model. Here is their site with descriptions of each model: They are upgradable through downloads, but some are limited - not sure about the 3000 model you linked since it is OBDI only. ![]() My new one is an EZ SCAN 5000 (purchased from that same seller), the middle of the line blue model. My old model is an XP240 (OBDI only), which I gave to my dad - you may catch a used one on ebay cheap, I know I saw some not too long ago in the $30-50 range.
